AGILA
You've got protection
When it comes to safety, the all-round protection of the Vauxhall Agila leaves nothing to be desired.
Airbags
Every Vauxhall Agila comes with front and side airbags for the driver and front passenger. On the S and SE models, when you’re carrying a child-seat, or when there’s no one in the front passenger seat, you can deactivate the passenger airbag with a key-operated switch on the side of the instrument panel.
Smart seatbelt reminder
The seatbelt reminder automatically illuminates on the central instrument ‘cluster’ and a buzzer reminds the driver to fasten the seat belt.
Pedal Release System (PRS)
Vauxhall’s Pedal Release System decouples the clutch and brake pedals in the event of a serious frontal accident. This reduces the risk of injury in the foot region.
CORSA
The Vauxhall New Corsa´s comprehensive active and passive safety systems have been cleverly synchronised to ensure maximum protection and driving fun.
Five-star NCAP rating
The key element of New Corsa´s safety system is the extremely rigid passenger cell. This minimises mechanical deformation with the result that New Corsa has the maximum five-star NCAP crash-test rating.
Airbag system
A range of New Corsa models feature double-action front seatbelt pretensioners and up to six airbags, including front-seat side-impact and curtain airbags. On all models, simply press a button on the centre console to deactivate the front passenger’s airbag and you can keep a rear-facing child seat up front.
Halogen adaptive forward lighting (AFL)
By reacting to your speed and steering input, AFL makes driving not just safer but also more relaxed and enjoyable. Extra cornering lights shine up to 90° left or right at road junctions when the turn indicator is activated. At higher speeds, the headlamps turn up to 15° in the direction of travel.

With front and rear doors open, New Meriva also creates a partially enclosed area at the side of the car. IDSPlus
The optional IDSPlus interactive driving system interconnects and adjusts all active and passive vehicle safety systems – such as anti-lock braking, ESP®Plus and electronic continuous damping control (CDC) – in fractions of a second. Sport switch
Sport switch adds sporting zest by activating the Sport mode: power steering, accelerator, and – if equipped – automatic transmission and continuous damping control (CDC) are switched to sharper, sportier characteristics. ESP®Plus

Vauxhall Insignia’s advanced adaptive forward lighting (AFL) system automatically selects from nine different light functions each designed to provide the best illumination in each situation, without dazzling other drivers. The result: less stress, more safety.
- Pedestrian Area Light, up to 20mph: wider spread of light (an extra eight degrees left and right) illuminates potential hazards.
- Town Light, 20-35mph: wider and lower spread of light. Activated by vehicle speed together with street lighting.
- Country Road Light, 35-60mph: wider spread and brighter light than normal low-beam. 70 metre range without dazzle.
- Highway Light, over 60mph: 140 metre range, higher and brighter than normal low beam, without dazzle.
- Adverse Weather Light, up to 45mph: wiper or rain sensor activated for better vision in bad weather conditions.
- High Beam with Assist (any speed): automatically switches from high to low beam by detecting oncoming or preceding vehicles.
- Dynamic Curve Light (any speed): activated by steering angle and speed, the headlights swivel up to 15 degrees into the curve.
- Static Cornering Light (up to 40 km/h, also when reversing): throws light 90 degrees left or right for enhanced lateral vision.
- LED Daytime Running Light: attracts the attention of other road users without increasing fuel consumption (unlike low beam).
